Philadelphia A to Z

I did my project on things that are made in Philadelphia. Originally I wanted to just find products that are produced here, but I could not find enough. So I expanded it to things made in Philadelphia in general, whether that be food or more industrial items.

A is for Art. This is a mural located at 13th and Locust

B is for Bluecoat American Dry Gin. It is the craft distiller in Philadelphia, and only one of a few in the United States that craft distills gin. The State Store was closed for President's Day when I went to take a photo.


C is for Coins. The Philadelphia location of the United States Mint is located at 5th and Arch


D is for Dock Street Beer. Dock Street Brewery is located at 701 S 50th St


E is for Philadelphia WeEkly. This was taken at 13th and Walnut Streets


F is for Frames. There are many stores in Philadelphia that make custom frames. This shop is located in between Broad and 13th Streets.


G is for Grocery located at 13th and Chestnut. They make sandwhiches and buffet items.


H is for Ham. Deitz and Watson is a Philadelphia company.


I is for the Philadelphia Inquirer which is located at 400 N Broad St


J is for Joe's Coffee Bar which is located at 1100 Walnut St


K is for Kreutz Creek Wines which are made close to Philadelphia in West Chester, PA


L is for Last Drop Coffee House which is located at 13th and Pine


M is for Monk's Cafe which is a brew pub located at 626 S 16th St


N is for No Ka Oi which is a tattoo shop located at 610 S 4th St. This tattoo was created there.


O is for Old City Coffee. This photo was taken at the location in Reading Terminal Market.


P is for Pretzel. Philadelphia is famous for its pretzels.


R is for Remedy Tea Bar located at 1628 Sansom St


S is for New Samosa located at 1214 Walnut St. This is the vegetarian cheesesteak they make.


T is for Tastycakes.


U is for Urban Outfitters. They are a Philadelphia based company.


V is for Victory Brewing Company which is located at 420 Acorn Ln, Downingtown, PA


W is for wine. There are a few wineries near Philadelphia, such as Chaddsford Winery in Chester County.


X is for 10th Street (as in the roman numeral). There are many shops and food shops on 10th Street, such as this one located at 10th and Ludlow.


Y is for Yards Brewing Company which is located at 901 North Delaware Avenue, Philadelphia, PA


Z is for PiZZa. There are tons of Pizza shops in Philadelphia. This one is 13th Street Pizza located at 209 S 13th St.
